Hudon Triples Again At Northlands
On the heels of what could be termed a double-triple on Friday night, Alberta's Gerry Hudon again guided home three winners from his own barn during Northlands Park's Sunday card of harness racing
.
Hudon's day started off the right way with a front-end score aboard Perfect Summer. The four-year-old As Promised - Napa Hanover mare was a 1:59.1 winner for Hudon and B.C.'s Bill Boden. Four races later, Outlaw Warlock (As Promised - Pleased As Punch) posted a 19-1 upset in 2:00.2 for those same connections in a $4,000 claiming event, and Hudon completed the three-bagger two races later with Lynn Kowalevsky & Monica Hudon's Shes A Jewel (Allamerican Ingot - Breathless Charm), who won her $6,000 claiming tag test in 1:59.
When all was said and done for the day, Hudon's win total climbed to four after guiding Lance Ward-trainee Clear Blue to victory in Race 4.
The Edmonton-based Hudon is off to a sizzling start in 2010, winning eight of 21 as a driver and seven of 17 as a trainer.
