Trot Insider has learned that standardbred horse owner Martin Van Boekel, brother of owner Jerry Van Boekel, has passed away at the age of 75

Martin, a resident of Ingersoll, Ont., was the president of the Woodstock and District Trotting Association.

Visitation will be taking place at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, located at 246 Thames Street South in Ingersoll (519-425-1600) on Thursday, February 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be taking place Friday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, located at 131 Thames Street North in Ingersoll (519-485-1802‎).
