The 24-year-old reinsman finished second with Jeremys Successor in the Presidential Final last week and is teamed with the pacer again in the sixth race Saturday. The runner-up in the driver standings at Balmoral and Maywood last year, Buter has averaged over $2 million in earnings the last three years. He made his first Meadowlands stakes appearance in 2008 when he guided eventual Meadowlands Pace winner Art Official to fourth place in the Berry's Creek Final.
