Rideau Longshot Delivers At 150-1
Some like chalk. Some like searching for a price. A handful of longshot players that were looking to sniff out a bomb in Rideau Carleton Raceway's sixth race on Thursday, January 28 most definitely got the bang they were looking for

After having started from Post 8 with driver Orl Coville, Jr. calling the shots, Maple Missy rebounded from more than a 10-length disadvantage to send a jolt to the tote board.
Sent off at odds of 150-1, the six-year-old Malabar Maple mare weaved through traffic late and got up just in time to post a head victory in 2:04.2, which resulted in a $303.40 win price.
The pupil of trainer Robert Smith topped a $1,622.30 exactor and a $2,031.60 triactor.
Seven hundred and ninety nine dollars were in the win pool. Only four of those dollars were on Maple Missy. Four hundred seventeen dollars were in the place pool. Only six of those dollars were on Maple Missy.
Last but not least, $263 were in the show pool, and none of them were on Maple Missy.
In addition to the monster win price, the place price rang in at $86.30.
There were no show tickets purchased to back Maple Missy.
