Parker Wins Five At Monticello
Brandon Parker enjoyed one of the best days of his young driving career on Thursday (April 15) at Monticello Raceway, capturing five races on the 13-race card.
The 22-year-old reinsman won with Thomas Milici trainee Masterson (1:56.2) in race two, followed by a win aboard We Never Geta Colt (1:58.1). Parker's third win came by virtue of a dead heat in the ninth race, as Bettor Reason N and See You Friday reached the line in unison in 2:01.2.
Parker completed his five-bagger with Moms Crossroads (2:01.1) in the 11th race and Starskys Dream (1:58.4) in the finale.
Parker is currently seventh in the Monticello driving standings with 27 wins. Mike Merton sits atop the leaderboard with 68 wins, followed by Bruce Aldrich Jr. with 56 and Jimmy Devaux with 54.
Trainer Candace Brandstatter and driver Greg Merton teamed up for a double on the card, which saw over $801,000 in total handle.
Live racing at Monticello resumes on Monday (April 19), with post time at 12:10 p.m.
