Odds On Osiris Resurfaces
Freshman Indiana Sires Stakes (INSS) champ and 2020 North America Cup finalist Odds On Osiris made his first steps onto the racetrack as a four-year-old on Wednesday morning (April 14) at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.
The Rockin Image gelding made his 2021 debut in the second qualifier of the eight-event session at Hoosier. Driven by Peter Wrenn, the Melanie Wrenn trainee sat third through fractions of :28.3, :57 and 1:25.4 before launching a straightaway kick with a :26.4 final quarter. He drew clear of his competition to stop the clock in 1:53.1, six-and-a-quarter lengths better than second-place finisher Isaac and third-place finisher Kelly D.
Odds On Osiris generated buzz as a two-year-old with a dominant state-bred campaign capped by a Grand Circuit victory in the $61,500 Madison County Stakes. As a three-year-old, he became a top contender for the Pepsi North America Cup, qualifying for the million-dollar final following a stakes-record victory in the $250,000 Carl Milstein Memorial at Northfield Park. He finished fourth in the North America Cup behind Tall Dark Stranger and ended his season with an eighth-place finish in the INSS Super Final.
From 19 starts, Odds On Osiris has won 11 and earned $616,395 for owner Odds On Racing.
