Best Of DSBF Program Honoured
A capacity turnout of around 500 turned out the 39th Annual Agricultural Industry Dinner on Thursday at Dover Downs Hotel & Conference Center
. The affair saluted all facets of the Delaware Agricultural Industry which boasts 2,500 farms and 94,800 acres of farmland permanently preserved.
Feature speaker at the event was former Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Rams 1999 Super Bowl winning football coach Dick Vermeil.
Among those at the head table were Gov. Jack Markell; Ed Kee, Secretary, Delaware, Dept. of Agriculture, Ken Wicks, President, Delaware Council of Farm Organizations, as well as many elected and appointed state officials and award recipients.
The major award winners were the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) two-and-three-year-old year-end award winners. Plaques were presented early in the evening to:
