Off a first-over grind, Harry G pushed past pacesetter Spectrum Seelster to win the $9,000 featured pace on the 10-race card at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday (March 2).
Driver Doug McNair floated Harry G off the car from post 6, landing in fifth while Spectrum Seelster took the field to the quarter in :29. Taking a narrow lead off the final turn, Harry G maintained control to the finish to keep Spectrum Seelster at bay by a half length in a 1:58.3 mile. Pocket-sitter Sports Nation finished third.
A four-year-old gelding by Rollwithitharry, Harry G won his 10th race from 29 starts, earning $48,812. Mike Saftic trains the $7.30 winner for owner Christina Gillis.
