Preferreds Highlight Flamboro Opener
Seventy-seven horses are scheduled to compete in Sunday’s 11-race program at Flamboro Downs, and a set of $11,500 Preferred events will highlight the card.
Zack To The Max will take on five other foes in the Preferred 2 Handicap for trotters, and he’ll do so riding a four-race winning streak for trainer Richard Moreau. Travis Cullen gets the call to guide the streaking son of Cantab Hall who will depart from Post 4 in the co-featured affair.
A pair of classy veterans will make him work for it, however, if he wants to keep the streak alive.
Willyorwonthe, a 40-time winner, will depart from Post 5 for trainer Kyle Bossence, and Ole Jack Magic, a 37-time winner, has the outside post to deal with for trainer Harry Wilson.
The photogenic Hes Got Swagger, who went 8-for-29 last season, figures to get his fair share of pari-mutuel support in the $11,500 Preferred 2 for horse and gelding pacers. He’ll start from Post 4 in the seven-horse affair for trainer Rachel Andrew and driver Travis Cullen.
He’ll square off with a pair of familiar faces from the Preferred ranks as he takes on the likes of stablemate Brodys Scrapper (Post 2) and J J Powerball (Post 3) for trainer/driver Austin Sorrie.
