Flamboro Gearing Up For Return
Live harness racing is set to resume at Flamboro Downs on Sunday, February 21 with a first race post time of 6:55 p.m. All COVID-19 protocols will remain in effect and strictly enforced.
Management at Flamboro is excited to inform the horsepeople and racing fans that work will begin on Monday (Feb. 22) to upgrade the track lighting to LED. Flamboro's team will be working around the racing schedule to complete this upgrade, which will require a change in training hours for the next couple of weeks.
Training will be available Thursday, Feb. 25 and Friday, Feb. 26 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Thursday, Mar. 4 and Friday, Mar. 5 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
"We are anticipating this job to be completed during this timeframe," said the track in a statement. "Upon completion, we will advise all parties of the new training schedule."
The first set of qualifiers will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 and will remain to be conducted on Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. for the remainder of the racing season.
