.

Mark MacDonald - with four wins on the 12-race card - guided two winners in the second leg, including Pinner in his $20,000 contest. The four-year-old gelded son of Mach Three - Dexter Doll came first-over in the final half and scored a hard-fought decision in 1:55.2 by nose over Shiftin Geartogear (Randy Waples) and Specialized Motion (Paul MacDonell).

MacDonald also guided Lake Shark to a gutsy first-over tally in the final division in 1:55.2. The three-year-old son of Four Starzzz Shark - Life On The Rideau scored by 1-1/4 lengths over Bruisers Brother (Mike Saftic) and Sparky Mark (Randy Waples).

Lake Shark returned $6.10 in notching his third career win for trainer Casie Coleman and owners Eric Kints and Robert Hamather of Ontario.

Cane Ride took the opening split for driver Rick Zeron in 1:55.2. The four-year-old gelded son of Cambest - Camus used front-end tactics to fend off Giddy Up Delight (Paul MacDonell) by a neck with Morguns Romeo (Jason Brewer) rounding out the top three.

Cane Ridge, who won two of four starts last season, is now perfect in two tries this year for trainer Travis Umphrey and owners Joe Tinelli and Timothy Kane of Alberta. The gelding delivered as the race favourite, returning $4.20 for the win.
