Camera Lady Cruises At The Meadows
Camera Lady powered to the top at the three-eighths and drew off from there to score a comfortable win in Wednesday’s (Feb. 10) feature at The Meadows, a $9,400 fillies and mares conditioned pace.
Once Camera Lady reached the point for Ronnie Wrenn Jr., the race was effectively over, as the seven-year-old daughter of Dragon Again and Ann Van Gogh widened her lead through the back half. The 4-5 favourite triumphed in 1:54.2 over a good surface, three lengths better than Circle The Page. All Day Sunshine saw her four-race winning streak snapped, finishing third from post nine.
Ron Burke trains Camera Lady, who lifted her career earnings to $530,627, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi.
Dave Palone and Jim Pantaleano each piloted four winners on the 13-race card; Pantaleano’s haul lifted his career total to 7,999.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday (Feb. 11), when the 13-race program features a $6,127.17 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
