O'Brien Awards Auction Goes Virtual

Do you want to get in on the action for the 2020 Virtual O’Brien Awards while supporting a great cause? Now you can!

Standardbred Canada is excited to announce that the annual O’Brien Awards silent auction will be available online for bidding beginning Monday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m. (EST) and closing Sunday, January 31 at 9:00 p.m. (EST) after the awards show.

Proceeds will benefit Standardbred Canada’s educational partnerships related to horse health and welfare with Equine Guelph. By bidding generously, you are helping us positively impact the health and well-being of our horses.

Equine Guelph is a not-for-profit organization serving the horse and its industry through education, research, healthcare promotion and industry development. They are supported and overseen by equine industry groups and are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of horses.

Standardbred Canada and Equine Guelph recently announced a partnership on the Horse Portal and a free Racehorse Respiratory Course for SC Members.

The online silent auction features over 80 items including sports memorabilia, jewelry, travel accommodations, original artwork, electronics and much more.

Some of the most coveted items up for grabs include:

  • Ron Turcotte autographed framed photo of Secretariat

  • Mitch Marner autographed Toronto Maple Leafs jersey

  • Kawhi Leonard “The Shot” buzzer beater textured print

  • Rare framed Spiderman jersey autographed by comic legend Stan Lee

  • Bianca Andreescu autographed tennis racquet, professionally framed (only 25 ever produced)
