O'Brien Awards finalist Dreamfair Eternal concluded her five-year-old season with a victory in mid-December and will now enjoy a well-earned break before she attempts to

take on North America's top pacing mares again in 2010.

"Dreamfair Eternal is going to have a well deserved rest after an outstanding season," co-owner and breeder John Lamers told Trot Insider. "We plan on entering her in most of the major races in North America for free for all mares. We are all very proud of her accomplishments this season especially the Roses Are Red in which she defeated the best mares in North America with a Mohawk stake track record 1:49.2. She finished the season sound and healthy with a win, now it's a bit of R and R until next May, then off to do battle again."

Dreamfair Eternal, a daughter of Camluck-J Cs Nathalie capped off her $766,415 season with a victory in the Fillies & Mares Open Pace on December 18 at Woodbine Racetrack. It was her 17th win in 31 starts as a five-year-old.

"I want to thank [trainer] Pat and Karen Fletcher for their outstanding care and attention they have given 'Eternal' this past season. I strongly feel had it not been for them, 'Eternal' would not have done as well as what she did this year," added Lamers, who also extended his gratitude to both Tony Kerwood and Randy Waples for their drives.
