Purse Hike For Fraser Finale
Fraser Downs will be one of two Canadian racetracks in action on Boxing Day (Dec. 26), and the B.C. oval will feature a 17-race card with an added bonus for the local horsemen.
The board of Harness Racing B.C. approved a one-day purse hike of approximately 25 percent for the final card of the 2020 harness racing season at Fraser Downs. Also, the Board suggested a minimum payment of $300 for all starters entered in the one-day special holiday card for horses not earning a cheque or achieving a minimum of $300.00.
"The one-day purse hike and incentive payment were offered as a thank you to all loyal participants involved in B.C. racing for their patience and perseverance while working within the trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic," Executive Director Nigel Holmes told Trot Insider. "HRBC would like to wish all members in BC and across Canada a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year."
