Terror Of Thetrack Caps Monster Pick-5
Veteran pacer Terror Of Thetrack posted his 40th career win in the 499th start of his career, which occurred in the sixth race on Wednesday (Dec. 16) at MGM Northfield Park, capping a colossal Pick-5 payout in the act.
The 14-year-old went to post as the longest shot on the board at 44-1. The classy veteran, who faces mandatory retirement on Jan. 1, 2021, won the fifth leg of the evening’s Pick-5, where one lucky bettor cashed for a whopping $29,677.00.
Terror Of Thetrack started from post three and let his competition carve out fractions of :27.1, :56.1 and 1:26. He then looped from the back and scored by a head in 1:57.1. Keith Kash Jr. trains and drives the pacer for his wife, Melinda. Keith and Melinda have raced Terror Of Thetrack for nearly a decade. Terror Of Thetrack has not only been an active member of the Kashes' racing stock, but has also become a family pet.
“I have to admit, this win is pretty emotional for me,” admitted Keith Kash Jr. “We have had this horse a long time. I don’t just race horses, I truly love the animals.”
Wednesday’s score increased Terror Of Thetrack’s career bankroll to $198,164. The son of Western Terror is in-to-go in Northfield’s 15th race on Monday (Dec. 21) from post three. Monday’s race will be Terror Of Thetrack’s 500th and final career race, after which, he will join the Summit County (Ohio) Mounted Sheriff Department to begin his next career.
