Marohn Mighty At Freehold
On Friday (Dec. 11), driver Jim Marohn Jr. won six races on the 11-race program at Freehold Raceway.
Marohn did his best work on the front end, as five of his winners were in gate-to-wire style. He scored with Live and Let Di in race two for trainer Scott DiDomenico, Rossini in the seventh race for trainer Lucas Wallin, Vintage Gal in the eighth race for trainer Brandon Mongiello, and the tandem of Maggnifispin in race nine and AP Emilys Dance in race 11 for Paul Fusco.
Marohn also won race six with Don Maiorano's Latoka, keeping him in the pocket and powering up the passing lane in the stretch.
Fusco had a training hat trick on the card. In addition to his wins with Marohn, he won race five with Fear My Shadow, driven by Jim Marshall III.
Marohn, who is seventh in the Freehold driver standings, has now won 39 races on the calendar year at Freehold from 169 starts. His winning percentage of 23 per cent is the second most among drivers with at least 100 drives at Freehold this year.
Live racing continues at Freehold on Saturday (Dec. 12), with a scheduled first post time of 12:30 p.m.
