Dancin Lou To Stand Stud
Multiple stakes-winning millionaire Dancin Lou has been retired and will stand stud for the 2021 breeding season.
On Monday (Dec. 7) Tara Hills Stud announced that Dancin Lou will stand in Ontario.
“I had plans to race him in 2021 but with so much interest in the horse as a stallion, it was the right move to make," said owner David Kryway. "I am also very happy to offer a 'new face' to the Ontario stallion scene!"
Dancin Lou p,2, 1:55.3, 3, 1:48.3, 4, 1:47.2-’20 ($1,119,848) is the fastest performer and richest colt sired by Sweet Lou. Race timed in 1:50.2 at age two. At three, Dancin Lou won the $779,221 Breeders Crown (elim and final) as well as the $270,000 Tattersalls Pace. At 4 in 2020, he took his lifetime mark winning the $391,300 William Haughton Memorial and finished second in the $540,000 Canadian Pacing Derby.
Dancin Lou is a three-quarter brother to world champion Dancin Yankee p,2, 1:53.2f, 3, 1:50.2f, 1:47.2f ($2,004,867). A gorgeous individual who sold for $140,000 in Lexington as a yearling, Dancin Lou's "outstanding pedigree makes him the perfect outcross for Ontario" said the farm in its announcement. He will stand for $5,000 CDN. For more information contact Matt Harrison at (905) 985-7770.
