Glamour Boys Battle In Delaware Stakes

Two $20,000 divisions of three-year old pacing colts and geldings contested the first leg of the Dover series.

In the first half of the daily double American Nitro (Badlands Nitro-Jet America) was a nose in front to earn a new lifetime record of 1:53.3 for driver Victory Kirby and trainer Les Givens. Second was Elite Retreat followed in third by Leonards Legacy.

The gelding is owned by Henry Faragalli III, Arthur Feeney, Daniel Doane and Nanticoke Racing Inc. The $4,000 yearling now has earned $170,230 lifetime. He was bred by Winbak Farm.

The second division was won by All About Lynx (Southwind Lynx-All About Tonight) in a new lifetime record of 1:52.4 for driver Montrell Teague and trainer Clyde Francis. Apple Valley Art was second and Aidan was third

The gelding is owned and bred by George Teague Jr Inc and K & R Racing LLC.

The three-year old pacing colts and geldings will return for leg two next Thursday. Post time will be 4:30 p.m.

Victor Kirby drove the winners of races 1 and 2, both which paid $3.20 to win. Later in the evening, Tim Tetrick drove the winners of races 11 and 12, both which paid $6.80 to win! Has this EVER happened at a racetrack before?
