Custom Cantab Retired
The owners of the millionaire racemare Custom Cantab 2,1:55.3; 3, 1:53; 4,1:52f ($1,031,193) have announced her retirement from racing.
A Mr Cantab mare out of stakes winner Custom Model 3,1:56.2f ($67,186), Custom Cantab was a multiple stakes winner at two, three and four and defeated the best female trotters of her generation, including Atlanta, Manchego, Dream Together, Plunge Blue Chip and Emoticon Hanover.
Her standout season came as a three-year-old when she was victorious in 13 of 17 starts, including the $220,000 Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final, $183,900 Matron Stake and $137,000 Crossroads of America, and was second in the $172,000 Moni Maker.
At four, she won the $132,000 Joie De Vie in a career best 1:52f, and legs of the Graduate and Miss Versatility. She retires with over $1-million in career earnings.
Custom Cantab will reside at Steve and Cindy Stewart’s Hunterton Farm in Paris, KY, with plans to breed her in 2021 to Muscle Hill.
