Record Handle Set At Rideau
Race fans were treated to a solid, 12-race program Thursday at Rideau Carleton Raceway, and reports indicate the oval celebrated a record handle.
A post on the National Capital Region Harness Horse Association’s Facebook page indicated the track made history when bettors pushed $752,899 through the windows on the card, which got underway at 4 p.m.
The card was a nice lead up to Thursday’s program at Woodbine Mohawk Park, which saw fans generated a handle of more than $2 million – the highest handle on the American Thanksgiving Day at that venue in the last decade.
