Summerside City Council has decided to name a street near the Summerside Raceway after the late harness

racing figure Bob Dewar.

Dewar served in various capacities in the Prince County Horsemen’s Club including director, secretary/treasurer and president. He was also an unpaid manager of the SRW.

According to an article by the Journal Pioneer, the street extends from south of Willow Street to the parking lot at Credit Union Place.
