Rideau Grand Slam For MacMillan
Trainer John MacMillan put on a clinic Thursday evening winning four times on the 10-race card at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
MacMillan teamed up with driver Stephane Brosseau to take the opener with Asa Im Ready (1:56), and MacMillan then joined forces with Guy Gagnon to capture Race 3 with Dabunka (1:56.1).
It was Brosseau and MacMillan clicking again in Race 5 with Dylans Bank (1:53.4) before that same trainer/driver duo returned to capture Race 7 with Three Trick Gainer (1:56.3).
MacMillan pushed his yearly win total to 47 with the four-win performance while pushing his seasonal earnings over $236,000. A career winner of 1,617 races, MacMillan has watched his trainees bank over $9.1 million over the course of a career that dates back to the 2000 season.
