Guelph Equine Symposium Moves Online
Since 2016, the University of Guelph has hosted an annual industry-wide equine symposium that helps connect and educate the equine community. From Monday (Nov. 16) to Friday (Nov. 20), the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management students majoring in equine management will host the symposium online, via Zoom, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EST each evening.
The theme of this year’s symposium is RESILIENCE: Rethinking, Restructuring, Re-evaluating due to COVID-19, and will feature many prominent individuals involved in the equine industry including Jonathan Zammit, executive director of Ontario Racing Management (Mon., Nov. 16), Gayle Ecker, director of Equine Guelph (Wed., Nov. 18), and Akaash Maharaj, CEO of the Mosaic Institute (Fri., Nov. 20).
The symposium is free for anyone connected to the horse racing or the equine industries, however pre-registration is required and can be completed here.
