Hambo/Crown Poll Positions Unchanged
Now two weeks removed from the Breeders Crown finals at Harrah's Hoosier Park, every horse has maintained their spot in this week's Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Poll.
Tall Dark Stranger kept his position atop the leaderboard with 23 first-place votes, the same amount he garnered last week. Party Girl Hill, receiving four-first place votes last week, received four first-place votes again this week.
Gimpanzee, Perfect Sting and Kissin In The Sand all remained in their respective positions on the top five. Gimpanzee again received five first-place votes with Perfect Sting again receiving three first-place votes, but both dropped in their point totals by one. However Kissin In The Sand boosted her point total by one.
Ramona Hill expanded her position over Atlanta in the sixth spot, gaining two more points while Atlanta dropped by four. Amigo Volo, Bettors Wish and Manchego also each saw slight gains in their point totals.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
