Books Closed On Donato Hanover; Well Said
Outstanding careers on the racetrack generally lead to high demand in the breeding shed, and that certainly has been the case for standardbred superstars Donato
Hanover and Well Said.
Two of the newest stallions added to the star-studded line-up at Hanover Shoe Farms have books that are now full and closed according to that nursery’s website.
Donato Hanover, who stands for a service fee of $20,000, hauled in more than $3 million in a brilliant career that included a win in the $1.5 million Hambletonian. A winner in 19 of his 22 starts, Donator Hanover earned his 1:50.1 record in the second heat of the Kentucky Futurity.
Well Said, the three-year-old son of Western Hanover who enjoyed a $2 million campaign in 2009, stands for a service fee of $15,000 after racking up a 14-for-26 record in two years of racing. The career winner in excess of $2.6 million took his 1:47.3 record in the final of this year’s $1 million Meadowlands Pace. He also notched wins in Canada’s $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup and the Little Brown Jug.
