Classy Guy Repels Challenge
Classy Guy, the 8-5 favourite, fought off a stiff challenge from Pete Stamas and went on to capture Wednesday’s (Oct. 7) feature at The Meadows, a $10,200 conditioned trot.
Classy Guy opened a sizeable lead down the backside for Dave Palone, but nevertheless found himself under siege by Pete Stamas, who was sharply up in class. The four-year-old Cantab Hall-Personal Style gelding dug deep in the lane and downed Pete Stamas by a neck in a career best 1:54.2, with Swan Country third.
Ron Burke trains Classy Guy, who now has banked $105,145, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Brady Brown collected four wins and Palone three on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows resumes Friday (Oct. 9), when the 13-race program features a $57,529.77 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
