Crawfords Buy Into Warrawee Ubeaut
Crawford Farms has announced that it has bought into Warrawee Ubeaut, the multiple-stakes winner and world record holder that has thrilled her fans since stepping on the racetrack in 2018.
Michelle Crawford, owner/CEO of Crawford Farms in Syracuse, New York, announced the news during the Red Mile's Bluegrass Stakes card on Sunday (Oct. 4) at the Red Mile.
Trot Insider has touched base with Crawford and Warrawee Ubeaut's trainer/co-owner, Ron Burke, and both are excited for what the future holds for the distinguished daughter of Sweet Lou.
Burke confirmed with Trot Insider that Warrawee Ubeaut, a career winner of 21 races and $1.9 million in purses, will continue her career on the racetrack before the connections ultimately determine to breed her.

Crawford told Trot Insider that her operation is more than pleased to be bringing a mare of Warrawee Ubeaut's calibre into the fold.
"We are very excited to have Warrawee Ubeaut enter the breeding shed at Crawford Farms," Crawford stated. "We bought 50 per cent of the world's fastest two-year-old pacing filly, the most prestigious-pedigreed superstar the sport has seen in quite some time. We will be bringing her to the farm after the Breeders Crown and will be giving her some time off and begin getting her ready for the 2021 racing and breeding season."
Although she has produced multiple scintillating miles throughout her 41-race career, Warrawee Ubeaut etched her name into the world record book in the fall of 2018, when as a rookie she paced in 1:48.3 over Lexington's Red Mile, a mark that still stands. Since then she has captured multiple high-end stakes and accolades, including the Breeders Crown and Dan Patch Award.
