Century Farroh Flies In Preferred
After three months on the Grand Circuit, O'Brien Award winner Century Farroh returned to the Preferred class at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday (Sept. 19) and he picked up right where he left off.
Bet down to less than even money, Century Farroh was forwardly placed by driver Sylvain Filion and positioned in the pocket behind second choice Filibuster Hanover (Yannick Gingras) through a 27-second opening quarter. Filion pocket-popped heading into the backstretch and cleared to the lead with ease, putting up middle panels of :55.3 and 1:23.2 before facing the pressure of Matticulous GB (Andy McCarthy). Filion asked 'Farroh' for another gear and the pacer willingly replied, coming home in :26.4 for the 1:50.1 victory. Matticulous GB stayed for second with Rockme Rollme (Jody Jamieson) closing well for third.
Trained by Dr. Ian Moore for Ratchford Stable NS of North Sydney, N.S., Century Farroh (Mach Three - Beachy Girl) sports a 3-4-2 summary from 10 seasonal starts with $360,161 in earnings. Moore indicated on Friday that Century Farroh would be likely pointed to the 2020 Hoosier Park Pacing Derby, slated for Friday (Sept. 25) at Harrah's Hoosier Park for his next start.
