Training Triple For Taylor At WFR
Trainer Paul Taylor, who is on the verge of winning yet another training title at Western Fair Raceway, had a terrific Tuesday at the London half-miler thanks to three trips to
victory lane with horses from his outfit.
Taylor is in the midst of his sixth consecutive season of sending out at least 100 winners, but it looks as though his string of banking at least $1 million in earnings will come to an end. His barn has banked more than $860,000 this season, which is nothing to sneeze at, and that number was help by Tuesday’s three-win performance.
A come-from-behind score in 1:56.4 with Ram Of The Night in the sixth race got the ball rolling for Team Taylor. The son of Rambaran won as he pleased for Trevor Henry, who mapped out the winning trip with the gelding who is owned by Dan Sargeant of Straffordville, ON.
Henry and Taylor clicked with Be Magnanimous in the tenth race thank to his off-the-pace tally in 2:01.4. The son of Modern Art, who was sent off as the 6-5 favourite, is owned by Sarah Morgan of Seaforth and Gary Walden of Clinton, ON.
Shawn Dixon’s Master Ofthe Class took the finale on the 12-race program, and in doing so completed the hat trick for Taylor. Henry, who had four wins on the card, again used rallying tactics to put the pacer into the winner’s circle. The five-year-old son of Presidential Ball stopped the clock in 2:01.
Taylor has sent out 1,420 winners in his career, and has watched his starters bank in excess of $7.7 million.
