EEE Strikes Wisconsin S-Breds
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Services has announced that three Standardbreds recently tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
One of the Standardbreds, which was a six-year-old mare, has been euthanized, while another, which was a two-year-old colt, has also lost its life.
Of the three that tested positive for EEE, one -- which is a two-year-old filly -- is currently recovering.
