Track On 2 Records Continue To Fall
Another pair of track standards were bested on the nine-race card at The Track on 2 on Sunday (Aug. 23).
The three-year-old Mystician gelding Watch Me Disappear went from last to first off fractions of :26.4, :56.1 and 1:25.3 in a $4,000 conditioned pace to stop the clock in 1:55.1, beating the previous record of 1:55.3 set by Outlawdancwthedevl in Oct. 2018. Jamie Gray co-owns, trains and drives the $11.90 winner with partners Geoff Smith, Jackson Wittup and Aaron Malkin.
Bad Blood beat another record two races later when catapulting of cover to win a $4,000 conditioned-claiming pace in 1:55. The five-year-old Custard The Dragon stallion bested the previous mark for aged pacing stallions of 1:56.2 set by Flying Officer earlier this month. David Kelly trains, drives and co-owns the $3.90 winner with Mike Dicks.
