Coleman Reflects On Return To BC
Trot Insider has spoken with trainer Casie Coleman about the very successful fundraiser in support of the Victoria’s Royal Jubilee Hospital burn unit in British Columbia which took place November 11
on BC Breeders Classic Day.
"I just wanted to say thank-you to everyone that contributed to the day and made it the success that it was," Coleman said. "I also have to give a special thanks to Jackson Wittup and Kelly Hudon for all of their hard work
with everything."
The event, which included an auction of items generously donated by many in the industry,

Coleman told Trot Insider that Standardbred Canada chair and Fraser Downs director of racing Jackson Wittup recently went to the burn unit and presented an over-sized cheque representing the funds which were raised.
Reinsman Mark MacDonald and driver/trainer Rick Zeron followed Coleman out west and donated their driver's earnings from the card toward the unit.
"I was able to reconnect with so many people from my past and fans that I didn't even know I had," Coleman told Trot Insider. "People were coming up to me and telling me that they had watched my career from the time I was racing out west to ever since I made the move to the big leagues in Ontario.
"I saw so many familiar faces and met man new friends. I was just glad that I could get back to my roots and be able to help a cause that is so close to me."
