Rideau Main Event To Frido PV
The betting public was all over Frido PV in Thursday’s $6,500 featured trot at Rideau Carleton Raceway, and the colt parlayed a two-hole trip into a career-best clocking of 1:57 in the winning effort.
Trainer/driver Yves St. Jacques got away in the garden spot with Frido PV who chased Orlys Dream through fractions of :29, :58.3 and 1:27.3 before going on the attack. Frido PV found clearance and kicked home in :29 to win by a pair of lengths over Sound Trick. Fierce Magic rallied to grab the show dough in the seven-horse affair.
Marcel Brouillard of St-Marcel-De-Richelieu, QC owns the three-year-old son of Muscle Mass-Justi P V. The homebred improved this year’s record to 3-4-2 from nine starts with the win. The four-time winner has banked over $22,000 to date.
