Tioga Downs hosted two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday (July 19), with Albergita Hanover and Think Of Galaxies taking their respective splits.

Albergita Hanover and Scott Zeron romped in the $49,500 first division.

Rightfully Mine (Jason Bartlett) went to the front and controlled a :28.1 first quarter before Summer Rae (Jim Morrill Jr.) took over by the stands and led to the half in :57.1. As they headed to the backstretch, Albergita Hanover ($2.20) made her move, advancing first-over from fourth and taking over the lead before hitting three-quarters in 1:25.

Turning for home, Albergita Hanover coasted clear by 10-1/2 lengths and recorded her first career win in 1:53. Rightfully Mine finished second; Sea Of Love BC (Jim Marohn Jr.) was third best.

Albergita Hanover, a daughter of Roll With Joe and Armbro Amoretto, is trained by Linda Toscano for owners George Derocker, Seth Coen, Camelot Stable and Decker's Corner Stable.

Think Of Galaxies and Mark MacDonald sprang a 9-1 upset in the $50,400 second division.

DC Batgirl (Billy Dobson) led to the first quarter in :28.1. On the first turn, Easy To Please (Morrill) went to make a three-wide move and caused Test Of Faith (Jim Marohn Jr.) to go on a momentary break. This left Think Of Galaxies ($20.40) in the open and able to move for the lead with a circuit to go. She controlled middle fractions of :56.1 and 1:24.4 before letting it loose heading for home.

It was a battle for second in the stretch, as Think Of Galaxies glided home in 1:53.2. Test Of Faith finished second, with Spicy Covina (Tyler Buter) getting third money.

Think Of Galaxies, a So Surreal-Lightning D Dube filly, is trained by John McDermott for owners Jonathan Klee Racing and Peter Kleinhans. It was her first win in only her second career start.

Live racing returns to Tioga Downs on Friday (July 24) at 4 p.m.
