Hoerdt With Hat Trick At Century Downs
It was a productive Monday afternoon at the office for horseman Kelly Hoerdt who nabbed four trips to victory lane including three with horses from his own barn.
Hoerdt rallied Dontworrydonthurry to a 1:58.3 triumph in Race 2 before catch-driving Now Playing to a 1:57.3 score in Race 3.
He returned to victory lane in Race 5 thanks to a front-stepping score with Kneedeep N Custard in 1:53.4. Wrapping up the solid day at the office was Criminal Record who went gate-to-wire in 1:55.3 in Race 9.
The three-win performance lifted his seasonal wins as a trainer to 51 from just 152 starters. His .496 UTR is off the charts, and it’s resulted in seasonal earnings in excess of $280,000. To date, Hoerdt has piled up 1,959 training wins and purses of more than $14 million.
