Even though he won his elimination, it has been reported that multiple stakes winner Vintage Master will not be contesting the $259,486 final of the Matron

Stakes for three-year-old colt and gelding pacers, scheduled for Sunday, November 29 at Delaware's Dover Downs.

Harnessracing.com has reported that trainer Jimmy Takter missed the cut-off time to enter Vintage Master, a career winner of $1,463,074.

The report states that the draw for the Matron would've usually taken place on Thursday, November 26, but due to American Thanksgiving falling on that date this year, the Dover race office made a publicized (on condition sheets, press release, and paddock announcement) switch of the draw date to Monday, November 23.

The Western Ideal colt has been one of the top performers this year in the 'glamour boy' class, having paced to victories in the $677,665 Adios, $325,000 Cane Pace, and divisions of the both the Tattersalls and Bluegrass Stakes.

From 23 starts this year, Vintage Master has compiled a record of 7-8-3 and banked $1,364,832, placing him right in the running for divisional honours south of the border.
