Trot Insider has learned that longtime horseman Roy Brewer peacefully passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton on Thursday, November 19, 2009. He was 81

Roy was the beloved husband of the late Doreen (nee Nealis), loving father of Duncan and his wife Fiona, Grant, Craig and his wife Laura. Cherished granddad of Michael, Jennifer, Kelsie, Samantha, Brent, Carly and Carson. Dear brother of Allan and his wife Audrey, Edna Allen and her husband Jackie, Colin and his wife Karen, David and his wife Mary and predeceased by his brother Dennis. He will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends.

Visiting Monday, November 23 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333). A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
