COSA TV To Cover 'Baby Races' Again
Another full slate of 'baby races' are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday morning at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and COSA TV will provide enhanced coverage both days.
The shows, co-hosted by Greg Blanchard and Mark McKelvie, who will also call the action, will be available on the COSA TV YouTube channel and Facebook Live. Viewers can also access the broadcast through the Woodbine Mohawk Park YouTube channel which will re-direct them to the enhanced coverage.
Standardbred Canada will also broadcast the races and will make Free TrackIT past performance pages available on their website.
Some high priced performers will face the gate this weekend, including Up And Ready, a $300,000 yearling purchase who made a miscue in her debut effort last weekend. The daughter of Kadabra–Glide By will start from Post 4 in Friday morning’s third qualifier for trainer John Bax and driver Matt Bax.
Marlboro Seelster, the richest yearling ever sold at public auction in Canada ($270,000 – London Selected Sale) will occupy Post 5 in Saturday morning’s second qualifier. The son of Bettors Delight–Macapelo Rose finished fifth in his debut effort last weekend and will get the services of Trevor Henry this week for trainer Dr. Ian Moore.
The fillies will take centre stage during the Friday session, while colts and geldings will be on display Saturday. A total of 192 two-year-olds have been drawn in to qualify over the two days.
