Only a couple of weeks after his election as governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie is already the recipient of an honour from Perretti Farms in Cream Ridge

Perretti has named the 2009 foal of the broodmare Malexandria 'Governor Chris.'

The colt is by Perretti's supersire Muscles Yankee.

Governor Chris is a full brother to Muscles Malone, named after New Jersey assemblyman Joseph Malone.

Muscles Malone sold for $90,000 at the recently completed Standardbred Horse Sale auction in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Governor Chris will sell at the 2010 Harrisburg Sale.
