Trot Insider has learned that a race date at Truro Raceway scheduled for this upcoming Christmas season

has been cancelled.

The Maritimes Provinces Harness Racing Commission has given the go ahead for Truro's live card of racing for Sunday, December 27 to be cancelled.

The cancellation is in an effort to balance the purse pool for 2009.
