Another Record Handle At Tioga
Tyler Buter had a productive Monday at Tioga Downs thanks to a five-win performance including a score in the $10,000 Open Trot with Prairie Fortune.
Buter got away third with that Michael Deters trainee before marching him to the front on the way to the half. Prairie Fortune led the field through splits of :58.1 and 1:27.1 before kicking home in :29.1 to win by 2-1/2 lengths over Uncle Hanover in 1:56.2. Its A Herbie was third.
Prairie Fortune is now a 60-time winner who recently surpassed $500,000 in lifetime earnings for owners Laurie Poulin and Michael Deters.
Other victories on the program for Buter came with Thats My Opinion (1:54.3), My Ok Palacio Br (1:54.1), An The Thunderolls (1:51.4) and Wise Image (1:54).
For the second consecutive day Tioga Downs set a new handle record when fans pumped $431,435 through the windows.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (June 14) with a post time of 4 p.m.
