Racing Returns To Clinton In June

After a three-week postponement, Clinton Raceway is making preparations to see the return of harness racing to the Huron County oval.

Following the best practices and minimum standards set out by Ontario Racing and the Government of Ontario, Clinton Raceway will be conducting qualifiers on Sunday, May 31 and Sunday, June 7 with the season set to officially begin Sunday, June 14 with a post time of 1:30 p.m.

Training will be offered Tuesday, May 26, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Interested parties are asked to call the Clinton race office on Monday (May 25) morning at 8:00 a.m. to reserve space.

While racing will return, it will be without spectators on the grounds. This measure will be in place to keep fans safe, in hopes of continuing to flatten the curve of COVID-19.

Clinton Raceway will be live streaming the weekly race card through its website, via Facebook and wagering will be available through HPIbet.com.

Additional information regarding protocols and detailed updates will be posted on the Clinton Raceway website as it becomes available. All qualifiers and races are subject to AGCO approval and are subject to change.
