Emily Gaskin's Fantasy Stable
Who would harness racing's sharpest minds select in the 2020 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable? Trot Insider will feature 'expert picks' in advance of the deadline for this year's contest.
Race Marketing Manager and Commentator for Harrah's Hoosier Park, Emily Gaskin has once again offered her picks for the 2020 Fantasy Stable. Gaskin watched trotting filly Rock Swan dominate in the Indiana Sires Stakes program in 2019 and expects (at least) more of the same in 2020. Rock Swan is Gaskin's top choice from a solid slate of Standardbreds in Group E.
"As a two-year-old, Rock Swan was the type of filly that just got better as the stakes season progressed which is what you want to see with young fillies. She showed serious talent as a two-year-old for the Erv Miller barn and I think they will have her prepped perfectly for her three-year-old campaign. Not only does she have all the ingredients to be dominant in the state of Indiana, I think she has a chance to make a name for herself on the Grand Circuit stage in her division as well!"
Rock Swan (Swan For All - Jolly Jessica) was the poster girl for the Indiana Sires Stakes program, earning $392,981 from just 11 starts -- nine of which led to trips to the winner's circle for trainer Erv Miller and owners S And R Racing Stables and Anthony Lombardi.
