Consistent with the directives and recommendations coming from partner organizations, the Western Fair District will be closing both its Sports Centre and Grandstand (including the Top of the Fair dining room and simulcast facilities) to the general public until further notice.

The closure became effective at the end of business operation on Sunday, March 15.

Live racing will continue as scheduled, but only essential staff, licensed participants and regulators will be permitted on the premises during racing.

Western Fair District is continually monitoring the situation updates on COVID-19 being provided by the three relevant levels of public health in Canada – the local health unit (Middlesex London Health Unit), Ontario Health, and the Public Health Agency of Canada.

In addition, horsepeople can also access Standardbred Canada's field representative if they are participating. Upon entrance to paddock, participants will go through a series of questions. They will then get a sticker on their AGCO licence, which is good for seven days.
