TCNHC To Use FastBet Wagering System

This year’s Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship will use United Tote’s FastBet wagering system

.

Players will use FastBet wagering cards to make their bets, allowing them to compete in a brand new, totally automated competition, bringing the TCNHC to a new level. Players will be able to use the FastBet cards at designed self service terminals or with the mutuel tellers designated to the contest. An automated leader board will provide real time standings for the championship.

Standardbred Canada used the FastBet cards in three TCNHC qualifying events during Adrenaline at Hiawatha Horse Park in August.

Eighty dollars in mythical wagering dollars will be preloaded on the FastBet cards for players to make their $2 win and $2 place wagers in 20 races during the Championship.

The FastBet program was launched in the US in April, 2004. The program is designed to increase handle at racing facilities by making betting faster, easier and more fun for fans. The FastBet system consists of an interactive user interface that was professionally designed based on user research, colourful windows-based touchscreen wagering terminals and cashless (prepaid) FastBet wagering cards each with it own PIN (Personal Identification Number) for added security.

A player’s FastBet Card balance, as well as a complete record of his or her wagers and winnings, is also always available by simply touching the screen.

The TCNHC takes place this Sunday, November 8 at Rideau Carleton Raceway with 40 players from across the country competing for a $25,000 grand prize!
