Driver Travis Cullen kicked Keep Coming off cover entering the final turn and coasted clear of his competition to take the $11,500 Preferred 2 Pace at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday (Feb. 25).

Maracasso cleared command from pylon-starter Artistic Pick past a :27.4 opening quarter but soon endured a first-over challenge from Levis Day heading to a :57.1 half. Cullen angled Keep Coming to track cover from second over moving to the backside but had to tip three wide as Levis Day stalled moving to three-quarters in 1:26.4. Keep Coming rolled towards the pacesetter rounding the final turn and slid to command through the stretch, opening three lengths on pocket-popper Artistic Pick to win in 1:56.4. Toot Toot N came from third over for third.

A seven-year-old gelding by Mystery Chase, Keep Coming competes for co-owners Cullen and trainer Rachel Andrew. He won his 24th race from 121 starts, earning $151,078 and paying $6.60 to win.

Later on the card, Woodmere Wyldstyle wired her rivals in the $9,400 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace going an added distance. The five-year-old Articulator mare set fractions of :28.1, :58.2 and 1:28.4 under minimal pressure with On The Minute Mark riding the pocket.

Second-tier starter Cayo Loco launched a first-over bid from 10 lengths off the lead moving to the half but hung moving to the final turn, prompting odds-on favourite Lifelong Dream three wide into the final turn. On The Minute Mark mounted the lone challenge to Woodmere Wyldstyle in the stretch, finishing three-quarter lengths shy of the winner in 2:05.4 with Lifelong Dream claiming third.

Co-owned by trainer Gordon McDonnell with Douglas Good, Woodmere Wyldstyle won her 11th race in 78 starts, earning $107,480. She paid $8.90 to win.
