Dailey Memorial To Lifeonthebeach A
Lifeonthebeach A, despite drawing the outermost post position, dominated the $25,000 championship leg of the Bill Dailey Memorial Medley on Saturday (Feb. 22) at Miami Valley Raceway.
Contested over a mile and a quarter, the 7-5 favourite was sent on his way from the get-go by driver Chris Page and cruised through fractions of :28.3, :58, 1:27 and 1:55 before tacking on a :28.1 final panel to score handily in 2:23.1. Stablemates Champion Rock and Royale Rose from the Dan Stone Stable finished second and third respectively.
The winner is a six-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere now sports 18 career wins in 55 tries and increased his lifetime earnings to $129,652 with the victory. He won the initial Dailey Memorial leg, which was a five-eighths mile dash, in 1:08.3 and then suffered an unfortunate incident in leg two at one mile when his crupper snapped and Page was forced to pull him out of the race. However Lifeonthebeach A rebounded, winning for owners by Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

It was the second win in 2020 for My Hero Ron, but the first in Open company. Danny Dubeansky trains the eight-year-old son of Well Said for owner Brian Witt. Tyler Smith sat in the sulky.
