Webster Recovering

Dr. Bob Webster, master of Hollylaine Island Farms, one of Atlantic Canada’s premiere standardbred nurseries, is recovering in Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Halifax after undergoing heart surgery Friday

.

Webster, 76, suffered a heart attack at his Broofield, P.E.I., home earlier in the week and was transferred to hospital in Halifax after receiving treatment in Charlottetown.

His wife Nina told Atlantic Post Calls that her husband underwent a quadruple bi-pass operation successfully and was resting in the intensive care unit at the Halifax hospital.

Hollylaine Island Farms has been the top breeding farm in the 75-year history of the Prince Edward Island Colt Stakes producing 30 winners.

Great News! My father is doing much better and will be moved out of intensive care today. As my sister Barb said, he is getting back to his old bossy ways. Thanks for all the calls and emails!

I want to thank everyone for their calls and prayers for my father during this very difficult time. We can't wait for the moment he opens his eyes and starts giving us advice on anything and everything again. If you would like to send any messages/wishes to dad, please send them to me at [email protected] and I will make sure they will be read to him. Nancy
