Brian Jerome Passes
Trot Insider has learned that longtime horse racing participant Brian Jerome recently passed away with his loving wife, Michelle, by his side.
Brian is also survived by his loving daughters, Angela and Kathleen.
Jerome, who was a volunteer, a dedicated owner and an industry supporter, was also a founder of the OHHA Horsepersons Committee at Rideau Carleton Raceway in 2001 and the National Capital Region Harness Horse Association in 2004. He remained active and engaged in that racing community in support of the horsepeople who raced at Rideau for the past 15 years.
As a member of the NCRHHA Board, Brian was an advocate for the industry by always seeking creative and innovative ways to promote the industry, to maximize the benefit of funding and engaging the public in the sport.
Brian worked diligently and quietly in the background with the NCRHHA, giving countless hours of his time and energy to ensure the survival and success of racing at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
Members of the NCRHHA expressed how much they will miss his sense of humour, his creativity and his passion for the racing community.
Please join Standardbred Canada in offering condolences to the family and friends of Brian Jerome.
